What is Calor Gas?
Calor Gas is a brand of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), commonly used as a fuel for heating, cooking, and powering barbecues and caravans. The gas is stored in pressurised cylinders or tanks, which can be used domestically or commercially. Calor Gas is widely recognised in the UK, and their products are known for their safety and reliability.
Is Calor Gas Protane or Butane?
Calor gas is a brand name for a company that manufactures a variety of LPG or Liquified Petroleum Gas. They offer a variety of gas types, including both propane and butane.
What is the difference between propane and butane gas?
Propane and butane are both types of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), but they have different properties that make them more suitable for different uses. Propane has a lower boiling point (-42℃) and therefore works better in colder weather than butane. Propane gas also has a slightly higher energy content per unit, making it preferable when high energy output is required, in outdoor or heating applications.
Butane gas is often available in smaller, portable bottles, making it ideal for camping stoves and portable heaters.
